The selection committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), on Sunday, December 27, has announced a 15-member squad for the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka.

Allrounder Shadab Khan has been recalled while senior players Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi have been dropped.

Salman Ali Agha will lead the squad which will leave for Sri Lanka in the first week of January, with all three matches to be played in Dambulla on January 7, 9 and 11.

The series will provide Pakistan an opportunity to prepare for the T20 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8. Pakistan will play all their World Cup matches in Colombo.

Squad: Salman Ali Agha (captain), Abdul Samad, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Khawaja Nafay (wk), Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Salman Mirza, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Naseem Shah, Sahibzada Farhan (wk), Saim Ayub, Shadab Khan, Usman Khan (wk), Usman Tariq.
